“Homie” raced twice at Saratoga in his 2-year-old year, he was retired sound and has been turned out in a herd of geldings.
Novice to Intermediate Suitability. No limitations.
Homie came to us unsure of his new life as an “inside” horse. He was worried in his stall and with new situations. He seemed to be stuck in his 2-year-old year but is coming out of his shell and learning very quickly.
He is incredibly kind, easy to lead to and from the field and respectful to his pasture mates. Homie has an incredible walk with plenty of suspension, is light in the bridle and responsive (but not sensitive) to leg contact. He requires a more advanced rider at the moment since he is quite green, but he has never been naughty. He only lacks confidence.
Homie is currently clipped, in front shoes, an easy keeper, and on night turnout. He has no vices and quietly stands for the vet, farrier, and Theraplate, as well as on crossties. Homie is up-to-date on vaccinations, deworming, dental, and chiropractic care.
